Well the float is no more. It was literally toast. Well, it's not even toast any more - it's just gone, along with everything else we had in the Den, shoveled into the dumpster.
Thank you to everyone who came to the Calamity Party and donated to the Fire Fund. We need to replace everything from glitter and glue guns to shelving and saw horses. Start saving up your construction and art supplies.

Seeds, we also DESPERATELY need at least six Escorts and one Referee for the 2010 parade. The Escorts and Refs gets a Ball Ticket, snacks & drinks before the parade, souvenir "Escort/Referee" t-shirt and they get to march with the KdV parade for FREE. They WORK the parade so they have to stay sober. (They can drink - they just can't get impaired.) They have to wear the T-shirt for the parade but can change into a costume for the Ball. Most of their job is crowd control: stick out an arm to wave spectators back and politely but firmly eject second liners from the parade. We only had one Escort last year and we were mucho unpopular with the other sub-krewes.
